FALSE SWEARING
거짓 맹세
"Furthermore, you have also heard that it has been said to the old: you shall not swear falsely, but only keep your oath to God. But I tell you that you shall never swear, neither to Heaven which is infinite and cannot be measured, nor to the Earth for it passes, nor to Jerusalem, for it is not an eternal city and is built by the hand of man. Nor shall you swear on your own head, for you cannot change the color of a single hair which springs forth from the root of the hair. Neither shall ye swear by the memory of a person or thing, for all are fleeting.
“더욱이, 옛 사람이 들은 바를 너희도 또한 들었도다: 너희는 거짓으로 맹세해서는 안 되나니, 다만 신God에게 한 맹세는 지켜야 하느니라. 그러나 나는 너희에게 말하노니, 무한하고 측량할 수 없는 하느님Heaven에게도, 그것이 일어나도록 지구에게도 (결코 맹세를 하지 말라), 예루살렘에게도 결코 맹세를 하지 말라. 그것은 영원한 도시가 아니며 사람의 손으로 지어졌기 때문이니라. 너희는 너희 자신의 책임으로도 맹세를 하지 말지니, 너희는 머리카락의 뿌리에서 돋아나는 단 하나의 머리카락의 색깔도 바꿀 수 없기 때문이니라. 그대들은 어떤 사람의 영전靈前the memory 혹은 사물을 두고서도 맹세하지 말지니, 모든 것은 무상無常하기 때문이니라.
"At all times, let your speech be only: yes, yes or no, or no. Whatever is beyond that violates the Laws.

"AN EYE FOR AN EYE?"
“눈에는 눈으로?”
You have heard that it has been said: an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But I tell you, exercise justice according to the natural Law of Creation, so that you find the verdict in logic and wisdom. Exercise love where it is warranted, and punish where the Law of nature demands punishment. Ye shall, further, remain within the Laws of The Creation in deciding justice for ye may not impinge upon the Laws of The Creation in that which has already been laid down for thy judgment in wisdom.
너희는: 눈에는 눈 이에는 이(입은 피해와 똑같이 보복하라)라고 말하는 것을 들어왔노라. 그러나 나는 너희에게 말하노니, 본연의 창조의 법칙에 조화하여 정당하게 실행하라, 그리하면 너희는 올바른 논리와 지혜 안에서 판단을 발견할것이니라. 정당한 곳에 사랑을 실천하라. 자연의 법칙이 응징을 요구하는 곳은 응징하라. 더 나아가서, 그대들은 공정한 해결을 위하여 창조의 법칙 속에 남아 있어야 하나니. 그대가 지혜 안에서 판단하도록 이미 마련되어 있는 창조의 법칙을 침범하지 않아야 하기 때문이니라.
"Give unto him who asks of you, if the request is made sincerely, and turn thee away from him who asks of you in dishonesty to deprive you of that which is yours in order to elevate his own comfort and status.
“요구가 성실하면, 너희에게 요구하는 사람에게 거저 주어라. 자신만의 안락과 처지를 향상시키기 위하여 너희가 가진 것을 박탈하려고 모욕적으로 너희에게 요구하는 자를 외면하라.
"You have also heard that it has been said: you shall love thy neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you: exercise love and understanding according to the natural Law of The Creation, so that you act and feel rightly according to justice and logic. Exercise love where it is warranted and despise where the Law of Nature demands punishment.
“너희는 또한: 그대의 이웃을 사랑하되 적을 미워하라고 해 온 것을 들었노라. 그러나 나는 너희에게 말하노니: 창조의 법칙에 조화하여 이해와 사랑을 실천하라. 그리하여 정의와 논리에 따라 행동하고 느껴야 하느니라. 정당한 곳에 사랑을 실천하고 창조의 법칙이 응징을 요구하는 곳을 경멸하라.
PERFECTION OF SPIRIT
완전한 영혼
"You shall be wise and learn knowledge, for you shall become perfect in spirit as The Creation which created you. You shall train your spirit in the course of incarnations at many, many levels and let your spirit become perfection, thus you can become ONE WITH THE CREATION."
“너희는 지식을 익혀서 슬기로워야 하나니. 너희를 창조하신 창조The Creation와 같이 너희는 완전한 영혼이 되어야 하기 때문이니라. 너희는 체현體現의 과정에 있는 너희의 영혼을 많고 많은 단계를 거치며 훈련시켜 너희의 영혼을 완전하게 해야 하느니라. 이렇게 (함으로써) 너희는 창조와 하나ONE WITH THE CREATION가 되나니.
And thus it was that Immanuel taught those ones who came unto him in search of wisdom and truth.
지혜와 진리를 찾으려고 자신에게 온 사람들에게 임마누엘은 이렇게 가르쳤던 것입니다.
He continued his teaching thusly: "Watch your piety, practice it before the people with right words, lest you be accused by them of lying, whereby you find no reward from them.

"Choose your words in accord with logic and consider the knowledge and behavior of nature.

"When you give alms, you shall not publicize this as do the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets in order to be praised by the people who witness. Verily I say unto you, they have no reward, because they give alms solely for selfish reasons.
“너희가 자선행위를 하고, 유대교 집회에서 또 거리에서 바라보는 사람들의 칭찬을 받기 위하여 위선자들이 하는 것처럼 너희는 그것을(자선행위를) 선전하지 않아야 하느니라. 진실로 너희에게 말하노니, 그들은 오로지 이기적인 이유로 자선행위를 하고 있으므로 그들에게는 포상이 없노라.
PRAYER
기도
"When you pray, you shall call upon the omnipotence of the spirit, and you should not babble as do the ignorant and selfish, for they think that they are heard because they use many, and grand, words. The spirit of man does not require many words, but it requires the knowledge of its power. Pray, therefore, in knowledge to the almightiness of the spirit that its grandeur and power is infinite.
“너희가 기도할 때에, 너희는 영the spirit의 무한한 힘을 요구하여야 하느니라, 그리고 무지하고 이기적인 사람들이 하듯이 쓸데없는 말을 해서는 안 되나니. 그들은 자신들이 많은, 또 화려한 말을 사용하므로 (자신들의 기도를) 들어줄 것이라고 생각하기 때문이니라. 사람의 영the spirit은 많은 말을 요구하지 않노라, 그러나 그것(기도prayer)은 그것(영the spirit)의 권능에 대한 지식을 요구하고 있나니. 따라서, 영the spirit은 장엄하고 힘이 무한하니 영the spirit의 전능함의 지식 안에서, 기도하라,
"If you do not know how to pray directly to the almighty power of the spirit, then use instead something sacred through which you will enter into the spirit. But never be like the ignorant, the hypocrites, and the selfish who revere some "thing" or object believing that the almighty power of the spirit somehow dwells within "it". Ye must be aware that the object is only an opening of the way through which the almighty power of the spirit can be reached within thy self. Therefore, pray as ones that "know", and therefore you should pray thusly:
“너희가 영the spirit의 전능하신 권능을 향하여 바로 기도하는 법을 모른다면, 그러면 그 대신 너희가 영the spirit의 안으로 들어가려고 애쓰며 어떤 신성한 것을 사용하여라. 하지만, 어떤 “사물‘ 혹은 어쨌든 영the spirit의 전능하신 권능이 그 물체 속에서 거주하고 있다고 믿는 물체를 숭배하는 이기주의자, 그리고 그 무지한 위선자들 같이 되어서는 결코 안 되느니라. 그 물체는 다만 그대의 내면에 영the spirit의 전능하신 권능이 닿을 수 있도록 하는 통로일 뿐임을 너희는 깨달아야만 할 것이니라. 그러므로 “알고 있는” 사람들(이 기도하듯이) 기도하라. 따라서 너희는 이렇게 기도하여라:

"MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER, AMEN.

"For when you pray to your spirit, whatever you request will be given to you if it truly is a desire, for believe with knowledge and you will receive.

SPIRITUAL POVERTY

"If you believe in false teachings, namely that power and spirit do not dwell within you, then you will be without knowledge and live in spiritual poverty. Though you will receive, now and then, that which you will ask for in your false belief of alienated sanctuaries-idols and gods, you will receive only because of your strong false belief, without knowledge of the real truth. For verily I say to you, blessed are only they who serve the real truth and knowledge, for only they are to receive in honesty.
“너희가 그릇된 가르침 안에서 믿는다면, 즉, 권능power과 영spirit이 너희의 안에서 머무르지 아니 하나니, 그러면 너희는 지식 없이 존재하게 될 것이며 영적으로 빈곤하게 살아갈 것이니라. 비록 너희가, 가끔, 소외된 성소들-숭배의 대상들과 신들에 대한 너희의 그릇된 믿음 안에서 너희가 요청하는 것을 받을지라도, 진정한 진리에 대한 지식 없이, 너희는 다만 너희의 강하고 거짓된 믿음 때문에 (너희가 요청하는 것을) 받을 것이니라. 진실로 너희에게 말하노라, 진정한 진리와 지식을 섬기는 사람들만이 축복받나니, 오직 그들이 정직하게 (요청한 것을) 받게 될 것이기 때문이니라.
RULES TO LIVE BY
생활을 위한 규칙들
"Consider carefully the way ye do of your fasting, if you choose of fasting, you shall not appear cross like the hypocrites, for they disguise their faces so that they appear to be something because of their fasting. Verily I say to you, they have no reward inasmuch as they fast only for selfish reasons, for the sake of appearance. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your countenance, lest you appear before the people with your fasting, but before your own spirit which is hidden. You fast for the sake of your health, the expansion of your spirit and knowledge in wisdom and naught else. Any other reason is self indulgent and for the appearance unto others.
“그대들이 행하는 단식에 대한 방식을 신중히 숙고하도록 하라, 만일 너희가 단식을 선택하면, 너희는 위선자들 같이 고난을 드러내지 않도록 해야 하나니, 그들은(위선자들은) 그들의 얼굴을 위장하여 단식으로 인한 무언가를 드러내고 하기 때문이니라. 진실로 너희에게 말하노니, 그들은 다만, 체면상, 이기적인 이유로 단식을 하는 까닭에 보상이 없느니라. 그러나 너희가 단식할 때는, 보이지 않는 너희 자신의 영spirit 앞에서는 (그럴지라도), 사람들 앞에서 너희의 단식이 드러나지 않도록, 너희의 머리에 기름을 바르고 침착한 표정을 하라. 너희의 단식은 너희의 건강과 너희의 영spirit의 확장, 지혜로운 지식을 위함 외에는 다른 목적이 없노라. 다른 어떠한 이유(의 단식)은 자기 멋대로의 단식이며 다른 사람들에게 (보이기 위한) 겉치레이니라.
"Ye shall neither amass great treasures on Earth where they are eaten by moths and rust, and where thieves dig for them and steal them. For where your treasure is, there also is your heart, and the true treasure is wisdom and knowledge. When thy Earth journey is complete ye shall be separated from all Earthly treasurers so better you build thy treasures in the realms of Heaven.
“너희는 좀과 녹으로 부식되는 땅에서 많은 재화를 축적하지 않아야 하나니, 도둑이 땅을 파고 (들어와) 그것을 몰래 빼앗느니라. 너희의 재화가 있는 곳에 또한 너희의 마음이 있나니, 진정한 재화는 지혜와 지식이기 때문이니라. 그대의 이승 여행이 완성되면 그대는 세상의 모든 재화로부터 분리될 것이므로 너희는 하느님Heaven의 나라에서 자신의 재화를 쌓음이 더 나으니라.
“The eye is the light of your body. If your eye is clear then your entire body will be light. Vision goes beyond that which is witnessed by a sighted eye. If your eye is evil, your entire body will be most dark. If the light in you is dark, how great will be the darkness be.”
“눈eye은 너희 몸의 빛이라. 만일 너희의 눈eye이 깨끗하다면 너희의 온몸이 빛이 되리라. 통찰력은 보는 눈이 보는 것 너머로 나아가나니. 만일 너희의 눈이 사악하면, 너희의 온몸이 가장 사악해지리라. 만일 너희 안에 있는 빛이 어두우면, 암흑이 극심해질 것이니라.
"Nobody can serve two masters; either he will hate one and love the other, or he will adhere to one and despise the other. You cannot serve your spirit and the mammon.
“아무도 두 주인을 섬길 수 없나니; 그가 하나를 미워할 것이며 다른 하나를 사랑할 것이라. 혹은 하나에 집착하며 다른 하나를 경멸하리라. 너희는 너희의 영spirit을 섬기면서 부富를 섬길 수 없느니라.
"Therefore I say unto you, do care about the knowledge of your spirit, about that which you eat and drink, and care about your body and what you will wear. For, is it not the spirit life and the body more important than all the treasures of the world? The spirit of man which is thirsting for truth and knowledge cannot preserve his earthly life without his body, for they are one.
“그러므로 너희에게 말하노니, 너희의 영spirit에 대한 지식에, 너희가 먹고 마시는 것에 관심을 갖도록 하여라, 또 너희의 몸과 너희가 입을 것을 염려하여라. 왜냐하면, 세상의 모든 재화보다 영적 생명과 몸이 더 중요하지 않겠느냐? 진리와 지식에 목마른 사람의 영spirit은 자신의 몸이 없이는 땅에서의 생명을 유지할 수 없나니, 그들(몸과 영)은 하나이기 때문이니라.
"Man should take care to increase the knowledge of his spirit, care about the laws of life, and have concern with food, drink and clothing, on behalf of his body which houses his spirit. But ye shall not spend of thy time in concern of storing up great treasures for ye need them not.
“사람은, 자신의 영spirit이 거처할 곳을 주는 자신의 몸을 위하여, 식량과 마실 것과 입을 것에 관심을 가져야 하며, 생명의 법칙에 관심을 가져야 하며, 자신의 영spirit에 대한 지식을 증진시키도록 관심을 가져야 하느니라. 그러나 너희는 많은 재화를 축적하는 데에 너희의 시간을 낭비하지 않아야 하나니, 너희가 그 (많은) 재화들을 필요로 하지 않기 때문이니라.
"Behold the birds below the sky; they eat the harmful insects, and they have feathers as clothes, yet they have no spirit. They work because this is their duty, and they are fed and clothed by The Creation. Are you not more than they? You can think independently through your free spirit and the great and wondrous thinking mind God has given unto thee, you can work independently, and you can independently prepare food and drink and clothe your body and it is your responsibility to do this for yourself.
“하늘 아래의 새들을 보라; 그들은 해로운 벌레들을 먹고, 또 그들은 옷과 같은 깃털을 가지고 있으나, 그들은 아직 영혼을 갖고 있지 않노라. 그들은 그것이 그들의 의무이므로 일하고 있으며, 또 그들은 창조The Creation께서 먹여주고 입혀주시느니라. 너희는 그들보다 더 훌륭하지 않느냐? 너희는 너희의 자유로운 영혼과 신God께서 그대에게 주신 멋지고 놀랄 만한 생각하는 마음을 통하여 자유롭게 생각할 수 있나니, 너희는 자유롭게 일할 수 있으며, 또 너희는 자유롭게 식량과 마실 것을 준비할 수 있으며 너희의 몸을 입힐 수 있으며 그리고 그것은 너희 자신을 위하여 해야 할 너희의 책임이니라.
"Behold the lilies in the marsh where they grow; they do not work, nor do they spin, yet, verily I say to you, the lilies also fulfill their duty by giving pleasure to the eye with their beauty. I say to you, that Solomon in all his splendor was not clothed as any one of those blossoms. Should you not do so much more for yourself since The Creation sustains and clothes the grass on the field which is here today and thrown into the oven tomorrow?
“습지에서 자라는 백합꽃을 보아라; 그들은 일도 하지 않고 집을 짓지 않으나, 진실로 너희에게 말하노니, 백합꽃은 자신의 아름다움으로 보기에 즐거움을 줌으로써 또한 그들의 임무를 다하고 있나니. 너희에게 말하노니, 화려한 솔로몬Solomon도 그 어떤 꽃과 같이 입혀지지 않았노라. 창조The Creation께서 기르시고 입히시는 오늘 여기에 있는 들판의 목초는 내일 화덕 속으로 던져지지만 너희는 스스로 더욱 더 훌륭하지 않느냐?
"The grass fulfills its duty by serving as fodder and fuel; but you, of little faith, are you not much more than the grasses?
“목초는 꼴과 땔감으로 봉사함으로써 그것의 임무를 다하고 있노라; 그러나, 믿음이 거의 없는, 너희는, 목초보다 더욱 더 훌륭하지 않느냐?
"Therefore, take care for the wisdom and knowledge of your spirit, and take care lest you suffer from lack of food, drink, and clothing, for verily I say to you, if you suffer from hunger, thirst and nakedness, wisdom and knowledge are driven away because of worry for thy mind will not find freedom. Neither shall ye neglect your own attention to caring for self in that ye depend upon another to supply these things unto you unless ye are infirm and have an interval of inability to tend of self.
“그러므로, 너희의 영spirit에 대한 지식과 지혜에 관심을 갖도록 하여라, 또 식량과, 마실 것과, 입을 것이 부족하여 고통을 당하지 않도록 주의하여라, 진실로 너희에게 말하노니, 만일 너희가 배고픔과 목마름과 헐벗음으로 고통을 당한다면, 너희의 마음 걱정으로 자유를 얻지 못할 터이므로 지혜와 지식은 쫓겨나갈 것이니라. 허약하여 자신을 돌볼 틈이 없을 정도가 아니라면 너희는 너희에게 그러한 것들(의식주를 해결해 줄 수 있는 것들)을 공급해 주는 다른 것에 의지하여(서라도) 자신을 보살피기에 주의를 게을리 하지 않아야 하느니라.
"First and foremost think of the realm of your spirit and its knowledge, and of comforting your body with food and drink and clothing. You must insure respite that the body not be fatigued into illness and you should not remove responsibility from others in that you perceive ye should tend of others who can tend of themselves. You should take care in thy charity that it be worthy in its placement.
“무엇보다 먼저 너희의 영혼의 나라와 그 지식에 대하여, 또 먹을 것과 마실 것, 입을 것으로 자신의 몸이 안락하도록 마음을 쓰도록 하여라. 너희는 병으로 몸이 피곤하지 않도록 휴식을 가져야만 하며 자신들을 돌볼 수 있는 다른 사람들을 보살펴야 함을 인식하고 다른 사람들에 대한 책임을 가져야 하느니라. 너희는 베풀어야 가치가 존재하는 너희의 자비慈悲 안에서 보살펴야 하느니라.
"Ye must also care for the following day, for tomorrow will not care for you by itself. It is enough that each day has its own cares so that you should not have to worry about the needs of your physical well being but ye should not dwell nor horde for the supplies will but rot and deteriorate. Take care in moderation and in expected need but do not place such stress on the morrow that ye do not use those things given unto you for the use of today.
“그대들은 또한 다가오는 날을 염려해야 하나니, 내일은 스스로 여러분을 염려하지 않을 것이니라. 하루(의 염려)는 그 자체의 염려로 충분하나니 너희는 유목민 집단으로 거주하는 것 외에는 너희의 몸의 안녕에 필요한 것들에 대하여 염려하지 말지니라. (유목민 집단에서 섭취할) 식량이 다만 부패하여 못 쓰게 됨을 염려해야 하리니. 적절히 그리고 모자라는 만큼만 염려하도록 할 것이며 오늘 쓰도록 너희에게 주어진 것을 (남겨서 다음에 쓰려고) 쓰지 않는 그러한 압박stress을 훗날에 갖지 않도록 할지니라.
Then Jmmanuel asked those gathered with him to consider "Judgment ".
그 후 임마누엘은 그와 함께 모인 사람들에게 “비판”을 숙고하라고 당부했습니다.
"Judge not falsely lest you be falsely judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, so will you be judged, and with whatever measure you measure, so will you be measured. Therefore, judge according to the logic of the Laws of nature, which are from The Creation, for they alone are true and accurate.
“너희가 부당하게 비판 받지 않도록 부당하게 비판하지 말라. 무엇이든지 너희가 비판하는 것과 함께, 너희도 비판 받을 것이요, 무엇이든지 너희가 비교하는 비교와 함께, 너희가 비교 당하리라. 그러므로, 자연의 법칙의 논리와 조화하여 비판하여라. 자연의 법칙은 창조The Creation로부터 생겨나, 그것은 오직 진실하며 빈틈이 없느니라.
"What do you see but the splinter in your brother's eye, and are you not aware of the sliver in thine own eye? You hypocrite, first, pull the sliver out from your own eye, and then see how you can pull the splinter out of your brother's eye.
“너희는 너희의 형제의 눈에 박힌 가시 말고는 무엇을 보느냐, 그대의 눈에 박힌 나무 조각은 알지 못하느냐? 너희 위선자여, 먼저, 너희의 눈에 박힌 나무 조각을 빼어내고, 그런 다음 너희 형제의 눈에 박힌 가시를 어떻게 빼어낼 수 있을까를 생각하여라.
"First, learn the Laws of nature and of The Creation, their logic, before you judge and want to see the mistakes of your fellow man. First, learn through the Laws of nature and of The Creation your own mistakes, so that you can correct the mistakes of your fellow man.
“너희가 너희의 동료의 실수를 비판하고 알고자 하기 전에, 먼저, 자연과 창조The Creation의 법칙, 그것들의 논리를 배워라. 먼저, 자연과 창조The Creation의 법칙을 통하여 너희 자신의 실수를 알라. 그리하면 너희는 너희 동료의 실수를 꾸짖을 수 있느니라.
"You should never give sacred things unto the dogs nor throw your pearls before the swine, lest they step on them with their feet and turn on you and tear you apart. For verily I say unto you, do not throw your spiritual treasures into the dirt and do not waste them on those who are unworthy, for they do not thank you, and they will tear you apart, for their understanding is small and their spirit is weak.
“너희는 신성한 것을 개에게 결코 주지도 말고 너희의 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말아야 하리니, 그들이 그것들을 짓밟고 달려들어 너희를 헐뜯느니라. 진실로 너희에게 말하노니, 너희의 영적 보물들을 쓰레기에 던지지 말라. 또 그 영적 보물들을 비열한 사람들에게 허비하지 말라. 그들은 너희에게 감사하지 않으며, 또 그들은 너희를 헐뜯을 것이니, 그들의 이해력은 좁고 그들의 영혼은 약하기 때문이니라.
